I am listening to 105.3 here in Dallas and Duff has called in. He just said that he thinks they found their new singer yesterday. They are going to play with him again today since it went so well yesterday. Jagger(the show host) asked if it was anyone we would know and he said "maybe". He said the guy was semi-well known. He said the guy "nailed" it yesterday. He was asked about Scott and if he was glad to be rid of him. He said they made the only decision they could. Asked about Axl and when we would hear anything from him again. he said "Your guess is as good as mine."

He then proceeded to be very long winded about his business degree and something called nutzi I think. They took his phone down a min and started laughing at him and how he was droning on.
He came back and said, "Are you laughing at me?" They were but said no of course not. They said they just really wanted to know who the new singer was. He said I'll let you know and hung up.

LINKIN PARK's BENNINGTON: I Am Not VELVET REVOLVER's New Singer

LINKIN PARK frontman Chester Bennington has dismissed rumors that he has been tapped to replace Scott Weiland as the new singer of VELVET REVOLVER.

In an exclusive interview for this week's Kerrang! magazine, Bennington said, "I'm friends with all the guys in VELVET REVOLVER and have played with all of them before. I'm friends with Scott too. I think the rumour that I was going to join VELVET REVOLVER started because Slash asked me if I'd come play a show with them in Vegas right around the time that Scott left the band. Timing-wise, it didn't work out for me, though. Maybe people assumed that invitation meant I was joining the band."

"It would be very uncomfortable for me to join that band because I'm friends with all of them, including Scott," Bennington continues. "If I was even going to do just one show, or record just one song with them, I'd have to know it was okay with my band, all those guys and Scott too.

That said, if Bennington didn't have prior commitments or wasn't friends with all parties, he'd jump at the chance:

"If I wasn't in LINKIN PARK anymore and I didn't know Scott, though, I'd say yes," he says. "Who wouldn't? The music is great and it would be a really cool opportunity."

Nuovo cantante dei Velvet Revolver: c'è il primo nome
E' solo un'ipotesi, di certo non vi è nulla, di ufficiale quindi ancor meno, ma almeno il primo nome del possibile sostituto di Scott Weiland al microfono dei Velvet Revolver è arrivato. Dopo aver testato vari candidati, i membri della band non hanno preso alcuna decisione ma la loro attenzione si è appuntata su Steve Isaacs, ex Panic Channel. Matt Sorum ha detto: "E' una cosa strana, io e Slash e Duff siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dal fatto che Steve si sia presentato all'audizione non in ritardo, che si sia dimostrato simpatico e anche che sia un tipo col quale è facile andare d'accordo. Direi che è una cosa che ci ha fatto quasi paura". Steve Isaacs ha appena compiuto 39 anni e recentemente si è trasferito dalla California a New York.
Sempre Sorum, il quale come si sa prima d'unirsi ai VR ha militato nei Guns N'Roses, interpellato sull'eventualità di una reunion dei GNR con la formazione originale ha detto: "Credo che prima o poi ci sarà. Anzi, per quello che ne so magari ne stanno parlando proprio in questo momento. Magari Axl con Slash e Duff e forse Steven Adler sono in un bunker a discuterne. Probabilmente sarei l'ultimissimo al quale telefonerebbero".
