According to the Nuestro Diario newspaper, GUNS N' ROSES' April 13, 2010 concert in Guatemala City, Guatemala was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

"I feel sad and helpless in this situation," Pedro Michelena, the president of the company in charge of the event, Success Music Entertainment, told the newspaper. "We know that thousands of Guatemalans had the intention of seeing GUNS N' ROSES."

GUNS N' ROSES was scheduled to play a single concert tonight at Estadio El Ejército, which has a capacity of more than 15,000, but only about 3,000 tickets had been sold ahead of the event, according to the paper.

Concert organizers said in a statement that they will announce within 72 hours how ticket holders can go about getting a refund.

As previously reported, GUNS N' ROSES' April 9, 2010 concert at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San Jose, Costa Rica was cancelled due to a faulty stage setup. The production agency 28 Producciones, which was in charge of the event, sent out an apologetic email to fans and members of the press. The email assured ticket-holding fans that they would be reimbursed and that all inquiries should be referred to the web page 28producciones.com.

mah, anche qui la cosa non è così certa:

il giornale guatemalteco a cui fa riferimento Blabbermouth e che tu hai riportato, scrive: bassa vendita di biglietti secondo una fonte vicina alla produzione, ma non fa nomi. Riporta alcune parole del promoter, ma non fanno riferimento al flop biglietti.

l'articolo linkato da Rob non parla di flop biglietti e riporta un virgolettato del promoter: Cause totalmente aliene alla band e motivi di forza maggiore per l'annullamento.
quindi, vedi bene che non è mai corretto gridare subito agli scandali quando in realtà non c'è molto di concreto.

mi pare improbabile... quegli staterelli centroamericani sono praticamente un'unica grande regione... "pochi" chilometri più in là i Guns tirano (a prescindere dalla formazione) e in Guatemala no? alquanto surreale, no?

è la cosa meno insensata che hai detto... anche se un promoter locale che proponesse prezzi troppo alti per la sua zona dovrebbe essere fallito già da anni.

rileggi quello che hai postato tu, e quello che ho postato io.
L'organizzatore non dice proprio un cazzo sulle vendite. E' solo una congettura del quotidiano che ha pubblicato quella roba....
